The argument for and against electronic cigarettes are quite ubiquitous because of its sudden recognition in the smoking industry.  Some people advise using electronic cigarette to help quit smoking and prevent lung disease while there are others who believe that it is not an intelligible approach to go about quitting smoking because it still has a tincture of nicotine.

Economically speaking, cigarettes are expensive when one pack a day is not enough for the smoker.  On the other hand, electronic cigarettes have replaceable filters that last a long time.  If one is willing to spend more, there are also varieties that are disposable.

One big reason why a lot of people dislike the act of smoking is the second hand smoke.  Well, you can harm yourself if you want; but such harm must not affect other people.  When a person lights up an actual cigarette, the smoke is also being inhaled by people around him.  Not all people enjoy it.  It can be a form of breach of personal space and everyone has the right to claim it.  The person who is smoking can also be fined.  With electronic cigarette, also known as ecig, there is no smoke to begin with, so any accusation will not be supported.  It does not only save people from getting fined and it also ensures a healthier environment.

One of the main objections to electronic cigarette is that the invention is relatively new there has not been time for long term testing for safety.  What many did not know, it has been around since the 90’s.  Only that it did not become as popular as it is now.  If there are any adverse effects, it should have been publicized by now.  What is prevalent is that electronic cigarettes are safer than tobacco cigarettes and they bring with them a chance to save many lives.

When it comes to issue that young people will become addicted to them, I believe they are more likely to become addicted to tobacco products because they are more freely available and can be bought in small amounts.
